Illustrated Guide: Pentagram Rope Harness

We have a free download PDF of a full body harness that’s popular on our site, but it doesn’t restrict mobility, so it’s more for decorative purposes or as the basis for additions such as a hog tie or hand bind.

The Pentagram (or Star) Harness Bondage Tie not only looks sexy… it can (but doesn’t need to) immobilise the arms too. You can choose to wrap it around the body or to include the arms in. The technique is the same until it comes to the finishing at the end.

The illustration suggests that you’ll need 12 metres (40′) of rope. My experience is that with an arm wrap you might need around 15 metres (50′). If you’re like me and have rope in 6, 8 and 10 metre lengths, then Lee Harrington has an excellent demonstration of 3 easy ways to join two ropes free on Kink Academy. If you’ve got leftover rope and you’re wondering what to do with it, or you just like the back of your ties to look nice, check out the nice finishing technique used on Watts the Safeword (link below).

Although this tie looks complex in the illustration, it does have a rhythmic over-under pattern that you’ll get used to after a couple of tries.

We’ve reblogged this illustration from Girlfriend and ExGirlfriend BDSM Gallery. They’ve got great taste in NSFW pics too.

This is a regular series of illustrated guides. You can find the others here.
